Changing differential oil, giving up... need help

So I'm trying to change the oil in my differential. I thought it would be easy as pie, but I'm frustrated. I've tried searching and looking at the FSM, but I can't find the answer(s) easily. Go ahead and name call but I'm throwing in the towel....

Have I correctly identified the drain and fill plugs?

If so, what size are these bolts? My sockets only go up to 19mm and they're too small. I don't want to buy extra sockets I don't need.

Thank you.

My fill plug was 24mm, my drain plug was 23mm.

It was easy as expected, just needed the right tools

yup you got it. jack the front up a bit so it has some pitch to it, drain it with the bottom plug. they are 2 different sizes iirc. so no problem there. just drain and fill. pretty easy. I just HATE crawling in and out trying to find the right wrench. their big enough a crescent wrench is pretty safe to use if you dont have wrenches that large in your set. use royal purple. please.

Neo Synthetic is so far the best I've used. I've also used the same thing in my transmission. No more notchy feeling after replacing to Neo (cold and warmed)

Always make sure you CAN remove the fill before you drain. You don't want to find out you have an issue with the fill plug after all the oil is out.....

^^ Good advice

I put Redline in mine about a year ago. Started whining at highway speeds. Switching to Neo as well.

I have given up on Redline. Neo is the new norm for this guy

also, when it comes to filling oil in crappy spots like that, i have another version of this type of bottle, makes oil filling seem like a walk in the park, and no spilling.
I made mine out of a 2 lite soft plastic bottle, drilled a hole in the cap, stuffed a 1/2 inch hose through the hole to the bottom, and silicone-glued the cap/hose area tight.

If you are close to an Auto Zone simply pick one of these up for around $8.00.

Hehe, imagine that. 1.3L fills the diff. There's something about that number...
Thanks Blackadde///

SWEPCO 201 80w90 GL-5 for diff
Gear Lube 75W-90 API GL-4 (MTG)
NOTE- THIS IS A GL-4 rated oil, not GL-5, which is what our transmissions need due to the metallurgy and cut of the synchros :
