You can undo the coolant hose that goes to the top of the throttle body to burp the system while you are filling up. I would recommend that you undo the coolant bolt in the block to let out more coolant. I drained probably around a gallon from that location. I don't see how anything could be blocking it unless you are trying to do it from the top of the engine bay. Try jacking your car up and getting at it from underneath. Of course, you have to remove the stock diffuser.

Also, while you are filling with the throttle body hose off, make sure to pulsate the upper coolant hose to the radiator to get any additional air out.

thx that helped get in alot more coolant. I started it up and I let it warm up, but i noticed that it warmed up alot quicker then normal.(water temp) it went to 84 >85>87>89 and the coolant alarm went off. so i stopped it and added more coolant. does this sound right.

I read on some website that you might have to do that 3 times... sound right? with burping the system?

no you shouldn't have to do this three times.

If you want to drain the most coolant you should drain from the radiator plug. If you have a stock radiator and stock belly pan (diffuser) you SHOULDN'T have to remove the belly pan to drain the radiator. There is a nice opening just big enough to get a screw driver in. I have a feeling you are looking at the wrong place.

Also, you now have air in your system...do a search on this forum for "burping" and refilling the coolant. Removing the line on the throttle body is a great trick to avoid air pockets.

Good luck!

Oh another trick that I've seen an RE Amemiya tech do on a video which I tried was to cut a 2 liter soda bottle in half and stick that in your coolant neck and fill that with coolant during the whole procedure of pulsating the hose and filling up. The coolant would eventually be sucked into the system gradually. If you start to get coolant spitting out of the throttle body hose during the process, then hook it back up and then open up the air separator tank cap and watch it while filling in the coolant neck to make sure coolant doesn't overflow from there. I just took my time and kept refilling the bottle until no more coolant would go in and no air was bubbling out of the coolant neck.

I then started the car and ran for a few minutes and then shut it off and let it cool down. Then I reopened the coolant neck cap and checked the levels and added a little more coolant. I did the same with the AST. I got in around 2 gallons of coolant in and one pint of Water Wetter I approximate. At no time during running the car did I ever get a low coolant buzzer.

No i wasnt looking in the wrong place.... once i took of the plastic shield there is a silver metal, looks like a really small radiator or intercooler that is about 1inch thick and that is along the bottom of the car and at the end of it just above it is the bolt on the bottom of the radiator so i can't get to it without taking that off the car. NE ways thanks for the help pretty sure i got all the air out, I took it out this morning and it ran very nice. thx guys
