Certain types of postings in 3rd gen. specific (to Mahjik and Damon):

Is there any way that people can start posting "pics of my car," "pics of my wheels," "pics of my headlights" threads in interior/exterior? Yes I realize the car that they are typically taking pictures of might be a 3rd gen, but it's not really useful.. I guess this goes back to the whole basic vs advanced tech thing. In which case there are plenty of threads that should be moved to advanced tech.

On a positive side I will say that it seems the signal to noise ratio is better than what it's been in the recent past.

Why does it really matter? Scroll down to the next topic, or whatever. There isn't as much traffic in here as there is in 2gen anyway, yet you guys bitch a whole lot more about the posts in your section. Even though I've never really done a post like that, the ones saying "hey, here is my car" aren't hurting anything, don't click if you aren't interested. The other topics are still there, just one slot farther down.

I actually enjoy looking at the pics sometimes. If I don't want to look, it's easy enough to pass them by.

For me anyway, I never get tired of looking at FD's

I dont mind the pics, I enjoy them to be honest. I dont see the point of making another section just for pics.

That's not very nice....
People post pics of their car in the 3rd gen tech to garner more attention from fellow FD owners. The same thing goes for people who post WTB or F/S threads in here, knowing full well that it will be moved to the F/S Section.

After putting some thought into it - I can see some of your guys' points. It's really not that big a deal. Perhaps I was just frustrated because it seemed like so many "LOOK AT MY CAR" threads...

Typically what I do is keep the posts of "their own car", but move posts when they are "asking for pics" of other cars (if that makes sense).

IMO, it's ok if they are showing off their own ride. Just like showing off pics of polished manifolds or other handy work around the car. However, asking for pics of wings, rims or bodykits is definitely an Interior/Exterior forum topic IMO.

I can agree with that logic because it does get old. Although we should keep in mind that we once were all new here (I'm not but hiding under an alias) and the new guys are just as excited to show off pictures of their cars the same some of us enjoy showing off pics of a recent port job, brake kits, track videos, or even an air pump friendly intercooler pipe. Different strokes for different folks.

They're the mods that monitor this section.

Honestly I like seeing pics of other peoples cars. It's really the repeated newbie type questions that get annoying.

hey man, being an fd owner makes you sooo happy, you just have to tell EVERYONE when you get a little mod done..

nah jk, i understand what you're saying, we do have that interior/exterior forum for a reason, maybe the people who are posting done realize that that forum is meant for what it stands for..they prob think that since they have a 3rd gen, its ok to post anything related 3rd gen in here..which is sorta correct however it falls under the wrong category technically..
