ceramic coated turbo housing pics

I just got my hot side housings and manifold back from my ceramic coater. They used a turbo specific coating that is only available in black or midnight blue. I got them assembled and just thought I'd share some detailed pictures before I installed them on the FD.

They are what the forum calls rich mans non sequential, ported and modified by David Garfinkle.

Looks good. How much did that run you, if you don't mind me asking? And are you in Savannah, GA?

It cost me $220 for both hot side housings, center piece, manifold and he did my aftermarket downpipe also. That included return shipping. Yes, I am in Savannah, GA.

Let us know how your temps are with them installed. I am looking to do the same with a set of BNR stage 3s.

Yes, the one coolant line is backwards visable in the second picture. I corrected it prior to installation.

I mean what engine temps drop too. and if you noticed any performance gains for keeping the heat inside the turbos.

Looking to see if this will not only increase power a little and also help under hood temps.

I understand now but cannot help. I did way too many mods at the same time so it would be impossible to see a performance increase from just the ceramic coating. I had them coated just so i wouldn't have to buy new heat shields anyway. As for engine temps, I don't have a before number and my mods would affect that as well anyway.

Ok. I will be doing the same thing. I am looking to do this to help lower engine temps under the hood.

Contact Bob at Precision Motorsports in Flordia. His number is 727-233-1195. He can do any ceramic coating with two days turn time.

This should most definitely reduce underhood temps.

I have no idea what temp it's been tested to. Bob said it is turbo specific and only available in blue or black. He's been coating a long time and I have used him before with excellent results.
