Cel?

Here is the situation. I am getting a CEL only when I go above atmospheric pressure, ie get into positive boost pressure. I can drive around all day and as long as i dont get into boost, i dont get a CEL, but the instant i see boost, the CEL comes on and stays on until I shut the car off, then when i restart the car its gone. I cant figure this out. The only thing i can think of is that I may have a bad MAP sensor? The only odd thing is, the car still runs fine and I notice no performance difference. One other idea i have is, the problem started when i began having problems with my sequential system. I was getting no boost when the second turbo was supposed to come on. I have since gone Non-sequential and am back to full boost until redline. Any ideas would be appreciated. If it is the MAP, is it possible to test it without just going and buying one and trying it. Also is it possible to pull the codes without having a code reader? Thanks in advance.

Did you try to pull the CEL code? That would probably tell you why it's comming on.

No, you don't need a code reader to pull the CEL code.
