Rear duffuser

I would totaly get a carbon fiber rear diffuser, just like the OLD RE Amemiya style diffuser. It looks really easy to make, let me know, xravedreamsx@yahoo.com i live in cali and can bring in my 7. peace

Wow this is an old thread, even before I learned to make CF stuff myself. In any case, to clear up some things, CF will snap if you bend it enuf but if you mix in a bit of Kevlar with it, it wont snap all the way (like fall apart). Infact, CF+Kevlar can bend all the way in half and the CF+epoxy will break but the Kevlar will keep it together. As for the diffusers, I'd make then but i dont got the mold for one yet. Also I'm working on a rear deck lid which is really being a bitch! (Dragon, I'm still working on it! Van, your's is pretty much done, i just gotta put it together hehe). I was thinking of making a full underbody tray consisting of 3 parts, a rear diffuser from RE-amemiya, a front peice such as the feed or re-amemiya one and a cuztom middle part (All made with 100% CF). Cost would be about 1k which is pretty damn good I thing considering the rear diffuser made out of fiberglass cost damn near 500-700 bucks. I have not found any one really intrested in this yet though so oh well

Just purchase one Pettit liscense plateless '99 replica bumper, and knock it off in flexible CF/kevlar. Build it, and thy will come.

I would love to see a full CF underbody tray.
I also agree with ptrhahn. A CF/Kevlar front end would be really cool.
I would also like to see a CF/Kevlar front lip.

I was about to say..jeezus..guys...that's just WAAAAY too much...espescially that car up there.

You have to learn control...control...clear your mind of overzealous carbon fiber thoughts..unlearn what you have learned!!! Carbon Fiber does not make a warrior great!!!

it does have a nice 3d effect to it though and does cover up dents/scratches nicely

make a 99 spec front lip spoiler and I will definately buy one, I was actually going to use my friends CNC Mill (Rich *** ****) or Wire EDM and make one but It wouldn't be like the 99 Lip it would be flat. I am definately up for one. The other parts I liked were the brake ducts, and I liked that rear bumper flame guard (I saw the one on ebay but it was red and I was like hmm) OH yeah and Nice pic of the efini FD, if that was on the showroom floor to pick from it would be in my garage...

Looks aight..but it's just too much for me...I like the subtle accents of CF..but not my whole dash.

Too much Carbon Fiber looks like a plastic-coated burlap sack to me.

Oh..and Rikki...there's that CF Mazdaspeed shift ****....I just picked one up from the RX7store..can't wait..cuz my current shift **** is peeling like a ****.

yeah, thats danny is selling that cf bumper guard for me (he is gonna clear coat it and make it look a bit better). In anycase, that is red kevlar which would look good with a red car i would think. I can make them in any color you want (the kevlar) or just black on black carbon (there are 2 different patterns as well, twill or straight, twill is much nicer i think.)

He is selling that one just to get a price of how much people are willing to pay, if its not enuf, I wont make any (target price is about 50-70 bucks). The 99spec lips in full carbon might be a possiblity soon but idk, i gotta study for my GRE test, perhaps after that I'll make a couple

if you wanna send me a center speaker pod, ill do it/copy it in CF for you.

Oh and I might make some CF steering wheel pods soon (they sell for 180===>200+ bucks for the cheapy plastic version, mines will be in full carbon and at 1/2 that price! well hopefully )

Unfourtunatly, I don't have one. But I just like them, along with alot of people no doubt. Here's the link, http://hometown.aol.com/flyrx7/Rx7-Gauge-Pod.html , maybe you can hook up with the guy and do some CF of his design for him to sell or something. But a nice wheel pod for 100$ would be sweet of course. I'm still saving to do my gauges/ecu right now though, but it'd be nice to have a nice wheel pod in a couple months. Maybe it would be over the "CF limit" for inside my car, I don't know, but I'd probably pick one up for 100$ if it fits well. I'd rather not have to be grinding on new pods for the fit (not talking about guage fit).

btw, I don't know if anyone can tell, but the CF in my car is all overlay, not replacement. Food for thought. *ricer flame suit on* lol

(like my 5th edit) yeh, you can tell, of course you can.

as far as overlays are concerned, it dont matter if you get a full replacement or just an overlay for interior parts, it really does not save that much weight (if you take a crap, that amount will be the weight savings you are seeing). As long as its nice and your paint aint pealing, its all good.

BTW: Those pods just look like bent pvc pipes! I think I could make those myself and not spend the 150-190 bucks on it!

Yeh, but don't you also craft CF stuff, = skillz. Fabbing skills I don't have, lol. I don't want to drag the guy into a bad place though with mentioning him here, I just like his pods style and respect the effort.

I know what you mean about pannel vs replacement, I'm not even an interior or CF nut. But damned if alot of CF things have been looking good to me lately -when I have no damn money, lol.

haha looks like mine almost... go to www.carbonfiberparts.net, They do a lot of stuff for FD and I think that their prices are reasonable. I'm going to have most of the rest of my interior done by them.

I'm actually gonna do all of what you are asking for (well except for the passenger pillars, the driver cant see the gauges from his seat so im figuring why bother even making them (plus i dont got a Jspec set of pods to copy ) The cf A-pillar pods will be done with in a week or 2 (this really depends on how lazy I am haha) and the CF rear trunk lid will be done after I do my little engine swap

For the Passenger side I would like just the pillar without any gauges. It is mearly for appearances ONLY. So it would cover the existing plastic piece. It would good because it would match the driver side if it had the CF pillar pod. Whatcha Think??
