Question carbon fiber airbox

anyone tried to cover oem airbox with carbon fiber to create heat barrier?

It would have minimal effects. Without some sort of ducting like the M2, etc. has, it would be the same as stock.

The answer is still no. The effects of having a carbon overlay would produce no benefits, other than strictly aesthetic.

Carbon fiber is not used as an insulator.
It is used for it's strength to weight ratio properties.
As VegasFD said...you'll get ZERO benefits over the stock airbox.

Except for a lighter wallet. Maybe some blood and sweat too.
