And remember that it's only for RHD cars.

I remember reading a thread about a guy that was building his own for a LHD, but I dont think it ever came to fruition.

I'll see if I can find it.

That's a pretty sweet cover. Maybe something some of our forum vendors would be interested in making.

Wow! I have never seen that before. Looks amazing! I have tossed the idea around for a long time of making one. I always like how it looked on the 350z i used to dd. I have a good bit of carbon fabric just laying around. If i end up doing this i will post pics.

I too would contemplate it. I'm not big into it wrapping completely around. The ABS unit is not really a serviced part. Covering it would improve aschetics. However, covering the brake reservoir isn't something I would like. It would also keep cost and construction complexity down.

They could make a spot for the brake fluid fill.

I reckon Shine or another vendor could do something similar if there was enough interest for a GB.

I agree with you on keeping the cost down. I originally only wanted to hide the ABS unit. It just seems hideous to me lately.

That would be pretty nice. Though i'm sure mounting and un-mounting it should only require loosening a few bolts.

Something like this produced by Shine or another quality company would be great. Crazy to think there was not enough interest in the other thread.

I completely understand the Brake resivour staying uncovered, but do you really access it that much? My original interpretation of the same type of cover included a small access panel door on that side to be able to check fluid level and refill as needed.

I agree.

My point was that I personally wouldn't want such a large piece that would cover both sides. For me, the ABS is the real eye sore. Having JUST the ABS unit covered would be awesome. I don't mind the reservoir so much. My twin power is over there too and I want as much air flow for that little guy as possible. Granted, I could always move it.

I definitely agree with you as the abs is the biggest eye sore. I have also positioned my twin power in the same place. (Beautiful engine bay by the way, I have always enjoyed the pics of your car. It is so well put together and your photos are always of great quality) I think it is a cool piece right there and would like a cut-out to keep air to it as well as still display it. This of coarse would be impossible on a production version as everyone mounts theirs a bit differently.

I am concerned that by covering one side it will look odd and appear as if you are deliberately trying to cover up something that is unappealing to the eye. This would be counterproductive to the overall purpose of the piece. By covering both sides it helps overall symmetry and is more aesthetically pleasing. If it was designed in three separate sections anyone who wished could elect to install (or possibly order depending on the vendor) only the abs side. I would think it needs to be three peices just to allow for flex with the tabs connecting the center section being slotted and fastened with simple plastice removable rivets much like what are on the interior of the car. This would also aid in quick removal to work on the car.

My biggest concern with such a cover is trapping heat from the manifold, turbo(s) and downpipe up under the cover on the exhaust side. This is the thought that has always thwarted my desire to really want to create one. Maybe a few vent holes in it? Heat sheild on the underside? A vented hood could help with the heat, but a good majority of us run a stock hood.

Thank you. I take a lot of pride in my dream car.

As far as the 3 piece idea, it's awesome! However, it would once again increase cost, complexity, and production. In a perfect world we would get both. A small piece to cover the ABS just up to the OEM heat shield, as well as the large 3 piece cover you mentioned. Of course, getting a vendor to sink the time into either would take some serious interest. A smaller single piece would be easy to develop, ship and sell.

Hopefully someone gets wind of this thread....

I will add. I saw a picture of Prew's car at the Carlisi BBQ last year and his engine bay pretty much blew everyone's mind. His ABS unit was completely painted and it hid it well. I considered doing this something similar. Ceramic paint is good stuff....
