Car won't turn off?
I drove around the other night and turned off my car. The turbo timer was set for a minute 30. So I walk away and when I come back, I get in the car and nothing, it's completely dead... the battery. I jump the car with a buddy's RX and I drive home. When I get home, I turn it off and go inside. I realize it's been 5 minutes and the turbo timer's not cutting off. So I go outside and have to take of the IC piping and stall the engine by choking it, then disconnect the battery for the night.
This morning, I go back outside to diagnose and find that when I hook up the battery, everything comes on like the key is put to "on". The only problem is the key is still inside my house. I disconnect the turbo timer from the ignition harness thinking maybe the timer is messed up. Same thing.
Is it possible for the ignition switch to be shorted? I figured the key made it a physical contact and that was the point of having a key to start the thing. Any advice is appreciated

Well, I have removed the ignition and tested it and it is fine, it seems that the ignition harness is all grounded out except for the starter (thank God). I tested all of the terminals to ground for continuity and 5 of the 6 had continuity so that means shorted right? So where is a good place to start looking for a big glob of metal and insulation where they may have all shorted?? Has anyone ever heard of this before?

Well, from the ignition, it goes to the starter cut relay, maybe that's where it's all messed up... Who knows? Do you know what the thread title was or any way I could look into it? Thanks.

That was step number 1, but I've been known to really miss the obvious before. I managed to pull fuses and compare on the diagram to where a short may be by getting constant continuity between the two input wires to the ignition switch. It's between the 40A B1 and ignition and between the 40A B2 and the ignition. Those two wire sections touch somewhere, the only problem now is that's between the firewall and the dash. There are way too many damn wires on this car!
