car wont start, flooding or starter?
hey guys for months now i have had my battery light illuminated. i switched to an optima red top and it remained.
my volts are always at 11, then when i try to start, it goes down to 7.
i assumed that the engine was flooded and did all the egi and fpr cuts, took out the spark plugs (then cranked and saw probally a mix of coolant oil and fuel flying out of the holes).
then put the spark plugs back in and it still wont start with everything reconnected.
now im starting to think that it might be something wrong with my starter because the battery light is always illuminated.
what do you guys think

Your battery should always have around 12 volts... Especially if you just bought it brand new... Have you charged the battery since you bought it? This may be the reason why it's at 11volts (low). When cranking your battery shouldn't drop to 7 either... Should remain around 12 and then jump up to 14 once the alternator is charging it.
I would check the connections from your battery to starter. Make sure everything is tight and clean, no corrosion.
Will the car turn over at all or does it just "click"? Do you hear the starter solenoid moving when you attempt to turn it over? Tell us more on what exactly happens and sounds like when you turn the key..

the rx7 has a battery light? >:O
step #1: take the battery out... go to the autozone and have it tested.
what kind of car did your dads battery have?
if you can see the pulleys turning, its obvious the starter is turning the fly wheel.
what do you hear when u try and start your car?
and more importantly, what were u messing with before u had this problem?

FMIC requires battery relocation.
so what exactly have u done there? i think u may have a bad grounded battery. where is the battery? and on the ground, did u use a die grinder to strip the paint and YOU MUST SAND IT.
i didnt sand it and i used a 4 gauge wire when i first did it... haha... had tons of electric problems.
or are u using the mini battery in stock location?

i put the battery in the trunk and wired it through with welding cable as recommended by a parts store. this isnt the problem at all tho. i have had this battery problem for a while where the light on the dash always stays on before and during startup.
