Car won't start - Coolant line broke

Hello,

The problem occured after I changed my fluids, engine and tranny, and then went for a test drive. My turbo side coolant line burst on me and I spilled all my coolant on the ground after I parked (1 mile driving from home). From what I can recall the gauge cluster read that I didn't overheat. The gauge was middle temp reading. I had the car towed home and tried to start it to put into the garage to work on. The car won't turn over and I cannot understand why. It doesn't make sense to me how a broken coolant line can prevent me from starting the car.

I've disconnected the IC piping to test if the turbos locked up and prevented me from turning over. No change in status.

Please help, I'm baffled.

Its turning over but not starting or it doesnt even crank?

Are you sure nothing else in the engine bay didnt get soaked with coolant?

It feels like it wants to catch and backfires a little.

It was mainly the turbo side (right side of the car), but it really went everywhere and got sprayed forward.

Change plugs, go thru the deflood procedures(before installing NEW PLUGS, not cleaning your old ones) then the car will fire right up. Constantly monitor your coolant levels/temps for the first couple weeks to verify no internal coolant seal damage was done.

Thank you guys, I will try that. It seems this is a typical procedure, what causes this?

The initial start-up map is extremely rich. If the car is shut off before it heats up flooding often occurs.

You can prevent flooding by making sure the car is warmed up before shutdown.
