Exclamation Car won't start after installing Supra fuel pump

Here's my problem, it is the second Denso Supra TT fuel pump I try in my car and I have the same issue, the car is having an hard time to start like there was no fuel pressure in the fuel pump.

What is wrong ? the Supra pump is new and I carefuly removed the stock pump and put the Supra at the same place, same wiring and everything so I have no clue what could be wrong...

Note that as soon as I put back my stock fuel pump, everything is fine so it's not the wiring for sure...

Help please !

Did you remember to prime the fuel system before you tried to start it?

If not, here's a link on how to do it:

have you tried to see if the new fuel pump is actually pumping?
If the wireing is backwards (positive on negative and negative on positive) it may not pump.
You may want to put a hose into a bucket from the pump to see it is pumping.
Also see that you have not put the return hose on the pump side.

It is pumping, I was able to start the car 2-3 times right after installing the pump. The problem is when I go for a little ride with the car, let is sit for 30 mins-1h, it won't start after.

So if the car dosen't move it starts fine so it has something to do with the pump not holding enough pressure after going for a ride no ?

Has I said I've never had this problem with the stock pump and it sits exactly the same way and it is a new Denso fuel pump, the problem is not the pump for sure.

Would it be a good idea to cut the hard pipe that goes on the top of the pump and put a rubber hose to be sure there is no leak ?

Maybe your electrical connections to the new pump are not tight? If it is pumping enough to drive the car, then the pump must be working (to some point) that leaves the electrical connections, and the possibility that the pump is faulty and only works intermittantly.
