Car Wont Start!

Yes they do have a clutch switch. I have issues with mine and some times the car does not start either.
In the past I have replaced a starter (on my FC) and found that it was the magnetic switch that had become disconnected instead. The starter was good. Not sure if the FD has the same magnetic switch or not.
My symptoms are when I turn the key I see the voltage drop (just a touch .5volts) and I hear a "click", I also hear the fuel pump kick on, but the starter does not engage. If I hold it in the start position or go from on to start several times it will eventually start. This happens more and occurs for longer depending on how long the car sits. I know I have too much oil down around that area (starter) and that could cause a faulty connection and I know every wire in that area has been cut and spliced at one time or another. I know the starter is good, because if I try to start it any other time (when the car is warm, has not sat for longer then two day etc, it fires right up rather quickly.
Under the PFC sensor check I see that the clutch light sometimes comes on and sometimes does not. The weird part is that the car will start even though the PFC states that the clutch is not in, and I have the darn thing to the floor.
What I am tiring to say is have your starter checked before you buy a new or used one. Most likely it is something with the starting/clutch circuit.

When you say you hear two clicks then nothing. Are you talking about the plunger on the start contacting the flywheel teeth or just electrical type clicking noises?

I wouldn't replace the starter tell you know for sure.
Try to hold the key in the start position for a little while. Sometimes mine starts that way. Or go from start to on quickly until you hear the starter engage. This may take a few trys. I still don't know what my problem is exactly so I can not help too much more. But i know that I have wiring issues which cause starting problems.

Could it be an alarm problem??? Im remembering that some time last week, a friend was pulling beer out of the car and unlocked the car from inside, I had a window down. Anyways, the alarm went off and I had to go unlock the door to turn the alarm off, ever since then it hasnt worked. I dont know when exactly the starter stopped responding... I'm posotive the starter isnt working, it was dead silent, I turn the key and listen to it and it makes no noise what so ever.... This thing isnt getting a signal from somwhere, is my ignition messed up?

First you need to calm down and focus.
I gave you some very relevant pages to read and look over in order to troubleshoot this.
Do you have a multi-meter? If not, they're cheaply available at hardware stores or even auto parts stores.

like i asked get a multi meter check some voltages at the starter. i thought you have replaced it already right?
the clutch switch will stop the car from starting. it will not click or anything without the pedal engaged. you can just jump the wires with a paper clip if you think that is it.
you can always push start it

mad, I was reading about this jumping method... Resource had a thread talking about it but I didnt understand quite exactly how to do it...
I located the wire that connects at the top of the clutch but I dont understand where I am supposed to put it once i've removed it

the interlock is the box on the side of the clutch pedal ***. not the button switch toward the rear of the car. it is close to the fuse box. disconnect the connector fom the switch and jump the terminals on the car side of the wiring see if it starts. or if you have a meter you can probe the switch and when it is open there should be no continuity and when you press it it should show continuity. also make sure the little plunger is hitting the pedel when you press the clutch in. glwi

Well,
I think I'm finally just gona give up on my car for a while. I just cant seem to get the darn ignition to work. If anyone else thinks they know what the problem could be let me know, otherwise I guess I'll just be content with my 1987 mercedes turbo diesel. Hey, atleast its turbo still!!
Anyways, yea, thanks for everyones input over the past few days, I'm sure somone told me how to fix it I just dont know how to do it correctly =\

BOOOYAHHHH!
dood, your ignition isnt going to have **** to do with anything. IF the car isnt turning over at all. take the starter out.. go have it tested ( Free at most autoparts stores ). Save yourselve a headache and take the damn starter out.
