car wont idle if i have this nipple plugged?
I just did a non sequential mod, pretty much block off plates and wired the turbo control(i think) open. But when I try to plug the vacuum line my car wouldnt idle. Its the one on the left of the red hose thats plugged with a black plug. This picture isnt mine. Any ideas?

you probably have to bump up the idle. Being that you no longer have a IAC valve, you have no idle control. So you probably have to use the idle screw to bump up the idle. When you have the vacuum plug off, that is a vacuum leak so that is like saying that you are opening the thottle plates.

I tried plugging the vacuum nipple and tried to turn the idle adjustment **** and it still wouldn't want to idle. I probably turned it a good 15 turns or maybe more. I tried looping the nipple to another one that was right next to it and it would still die out

there are two idle adjustment screws. one adjusts the position of the butterflies, the other is an idle bleed screw and just allows more air through a hole. after a few turns it doesnt do anything, its more of a fine tuning adjustment. it sounds like you are adjusting the 2nd one. try adjusting the the one more on top of the throttle body instead. if you are standing on the drivers side of the car facing the throttle body its to the left of the throttle body and you get to it from above. Turn it clockwise to open the butterflies more.

Hey DVD,
15 turns are alot.
Maybe you got the wrong skrew. There are two of them!
Unfortunately I donīt have a picture to show you where the other one is placed.
If it will not work adjusting the other skrew, maybe you have to check your Valve (the brown one in the image you posted!)
If the membrane is damaged, you get a wrong pressure relations of in front and after the throttle plates. This could be a reason, too.
Best luck on finding the reason!
kind regards
Marc
