Hey guys. I just installed the Hyperion fuel surge cover. The car was around half a tank when I installed it. I went to fill the car up and after 4 gallons it would not fill anymore. The gauge is still reading right around half a tank. I got a fuel station that let it fill slow. After about a gallon the tank overflowed. So it has me thinking the gauge is reading wrong.

I have not gone back into the fuel tank yet. But wanted to see if there was anything to look for or troubleshoot when I get a chance to look at it this weekend. Like potentially a kinked fill hose or something?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

 

Your fuel level sender might be stuck on the cover. Wiggle it around and double check!

The float was sticking somewhere. Twisted the pump assembly a little bit and the float sprang right up.
