Angry Car turns over, but won't start?

Changed the alternator last night....car worked great. Drove it home, parked it up. Now, I try to start the car, and it turns over like it's getting ready to start but doesn't start up....any ideas? I know the battery is good or it wouldn't turn over like it does. If i need to check any special hoses tell me where they are please

Your 3 fuel lines come from underneth the fire wall drivers side and connect to the upper right of the plugs. I don't see how those would be affected from an alternator change. Have you ever changed your fuel filter?

I can get it to stay on now if WOT. but if i let off it dies down again....think idle screw might be part of the problem?

Stalling out at less than full throttle may be a sign of a large vacuum leak.

Check around the alternator and anything else you removed to get at it. I'd bet you've got something (vacuum hose, electrical connection) knocked loose from your work replacing the alternator.

Tried doing that, unless there's hoses under the alternator that I should be worried about, alt was harder than people led me to believe to get it on...

A badly misaligned TPS will display these same symptoms. When I was adjusting my tps, I tried starting it when the voltage readings were way off from spec. My car did exactly what you describe. It cranks, starts, then a split second later dies.

You may want to check if your tps got loose somehow.
