Assuming this is an oem factory unit we are talking about.

There are no bolts to take out, just remove the two plastic cover on the side of the cd unit and the two plastic cover on the tape unit. Get yourself a set of Ford radio removal forks ( or make your own u shape metal rod with a small indent at the tips) and slide them into the side of the cd player, then you will want to move the two u handles outward away from the unit (move right side handle to the right and left side handle to the left) and then pull the unit out of the dash. You will need to remove the radio too since the cd portion of the system plugs into the back of the tape section.

Without those U shaped keys, it will be next to impossible to get the unit out. Used to do car stereo installation a few years back. You need the keys.

The clips that the Ford tool presses are the main thing holding both the cd player and radio in. However the radio also has a rubber piece that sticks out the back and goes into a kind of hole in the radio rear bracket. This photo shows the Din openings and you can see the hole for the rubber piece. Sometimes that rubber piece is really in there, probably from all the years and heat and you'll have to get physical with the radio to get it loose.
