car starts, but dies
yesterday i installed my power fc. i was having a surging idle problem. i cut the 4 wires i was supposed to but that didnt solve the problem. so i pulled off the ISC today to see if that worked. it didnt the car made a buzzing sound under the UIM, so i put it back on. now i cant get it to start, it fires up goes to 500rpms, stutters and dies. also im not getting any vaccum with the key in the on position, but i was yesterday. on the boost gauge on the the commander i get four bar lines
like this " - - - - ". do i have a huge leak somewhere?

i got it working, after fiddling around with the idle on the pfc and swapping back in the old ecu, then putting the pfc back in, i found that one of the connectors on the ecu harness kept backing its way out, which is why it started then died, i think at least.
anyway it is working fine now, idles at 1100rpm, which is where it was at before i put the pfc in. the idle surging is gone.
i kept the ISC connected too, because taking it out didnt work.

i found something else out too. my boost gauge is reading high. the needle is not centered on the 0. also my pfc reads around 480mmhg of vaccum at idle, which is like 18in, whereas my autometer guage is reading 16.5. and in 3rd gear the guage was reading a max of around 10.5psi, while my pfc max boost was .66kg/cm^2 which is around 9.5.
is this a common problem with autometer gauges?

Its just gage error. Some gages read differently than others. Both of those vaccum and boost readings arent too far from each other so you shouldnt have anything to worry about. If the gages differ by more than a few inches or a few psi of boost and you should be worried.
