Car is smoking really badly with fans running only.
My car is smoking really badly when I have the A/C button pressed for the fans to run. It only smokes alot when I have the fans running though and it smells like oil smoke. I just did an oil change and changed the oil filter, plugs are fairly new, car runs good and vacuum is -17 at idle which is normal.
This same thing used to happen last year until one of my fan motors died, after the motor died and only one fan was working the car did not smoke like this anymore. The other night I installed new fans and now both are working and the car is smoking again. I'm out of ideas as to why fans running would cause this.
Car is running non-sequential twins at 12psi, PowerFC, resonated midpipe and normal bolt-ons.
Any suggestions as to why this is happening would be greatly appreciated, people stopping me on the highway to complain about the smoke and smell is embarassing.

The best clue I can think of is the ignition timing. When you turn on the A/C the ECU changes the ignition timing to stabilize the idle. I don't know enough to put it all together but that's the only thing I can think of. Good luck.

Mandrake you may be right, someone was messing with my ignition settings before to get the car to shoot fireballs as a joke. Does anyone know what the stock ignition settings are on the PowerFC?
