Angry car smokes realy bad until warmed up

Well guys as you know my 93 MB fd wouldnt start ( no fuel ) so i replaced the fuel pump, injectors, fuel filter, oil filter, ect with all new parts just for the heck of it .The problem turned out to be a bunch of cut wires from under my dash. Rx7what and I installed a 94 dash and wiring harness and the 7 started right up ...I was so happy untill i looked around the 7 and it looked like the fog had rolled in THICK.I thought it might be just some build up since the car hasnt started in about 7 months so ive been starting it up every morrning around 10 am for about 4 days to see if it will slowly deteriate over time but so far its only died down a bit .I mean Once my 7 is wrom ,even if you try you cant make it smoke...WHAT IS WRONG NOW ??? PLEASE HELP ANY INFO WILL HELP POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

p.s The smoke smells like oil

mine smokes on startup everytime. a bunch of white fog out the exhaust. it's running crazy rich. havn't had my mechanic retune my power fc to get rid of that. once it is warm though the smoke is gone. I have a new motor and I KNOW it's not the water seals. You might keep an eye out for that though. water seals can go out and give smoke. you would see smoke almost all the time though.
good luck
D

my car does the exact same..i think its a leak.
after i installed my dp(used old gasket) i found out the turbo area smokes a bit
and the exhaust smokes a lot of white smoke until the car is warmed and im guessing the gaskets expanded and filled the leaks. everytime its a cold start itd smoke
so i got the exact same problem.
if someone else knows anything thatd help a lot

possibly the oil seals dried up...mine did the same thing for a while until 2 apex seals sized up due to that oil burning. just be careful.

Mine did something very similar when my twins were on their last legs... only smoked when cold for about 2 months, then eventually started smoking on decelleration while hot too... http://www.ikirst.com/gallery/albums...o/Dezigns3.mpg

Swapped the turbos out for another set and voila no more smoke.

Mine smokes every time I start it up like you would'nt beleive. It's a bad coolant seal. It will clear up after 5 minutes or so. Smells like gas. If you search for "white smoke on startup" you'll find a thread that has a video of my car running first thing in the morning, and one of our moderators cars videos aswell. Although his car is just steam, or condensation.

The car isnt eating h2o so i dont think its a coolant seal. It smells like oil . Not gas..I started it up today and it didnt smoke, this is weird sometimes it smokes but once in a blue moon it wont...I wanna clean in some spots i.e the housings, so i figure Im just gonna replace the turbos this weekend even if its not the problem ,so ill have more room to clean out the engine compartment..

Mine smokes like that too. When I was doing an oil change the last week, I noticed some water condensation on my oil cap. I did a search and apparently it is supposed to be normal. However, my car IS 11 years old (but only 60k) and I am thinking of tearing down the engine and having it rebuilt before **** starts going bad and the next thing you know, housings and everything else will have to be replaced.

My car smokes too but you have to think about weather too. I mean of course if its cold out, it will smoke for a bit more than normal cause it is normal.

But i remember one morning, it was about 56 degrees but it was a bit cool still and the car would be smoking like it was 30 degrees out. Then i looked at the weather channel and the humidity was why the car was smoking longer than usual on a day with that temp.

In the summer i dont even see anything come out of the exhaust. I hope its the same this year for me, i been really lucky with my car and no major problems. lol

my car does that in exteme cold. its either a coolant seal which is bad and relatively unfixable(aside from the copper radiator seal trick). or your car is running way rich(believable and probably good).

No his car is more like a leaky injector. It floods some times too and starts on one rotor. I dont think its a coolant seal as mine has a bad coolant seal and it doesnt act like mine. Some times if he turns it off for about 5 or ten minutes it will be flooded on one rotor when goes to restart. We are going to install new injectors this weekend and if that doesnt do it we will swap the turbos with some used like new turbos.

I love my HKS exhaust it sounds great. Low and not that loud at idle but load when you want it load. You can check it out at the modesto meet.
