MI Car seems to have no power after dash removal/install

Hey guys, ran into some trouble with my FD. removed the dash to install dynamat, and new carpet. after re-installing the dash I of course tried to start it. nothing, not even a click from the starter. the first couple tries it wouldn't even prime the fuel pump, and the PFC wouldn't even come one. after messing with it a bit if I advanced the key forward just a little bit before the point where it would begin to crank the fuel pump and pfc would come on. BUT if I advanced the key any further it would shut off, and all i could here was a very quiet click from where the ABS is at. I checked all my plugs, and all the fuses. i hooked up a battery charger and still haven't gotten anything. the power fc wont come on anymore at all. and the "ding ding ding" reminder to remove your key isnt on either. when the power fc flicked on i zipped through the settings to double check and make sure my tune was still there and it all seemed in order. I really dont know where to even start. help is appreciated, thanks.

I would start with the obvious. check all of the harness connections and see if they are loose or not connected. Make sure no wires got putlled out from behind the ignition switch? I do't know of a specific connection that would cause this exact problem, but it sounds like something got knocked/pulled loose or is disconnected. Good Luck!

Check you ECU connections make sure you are getting power to the PFC. Hook up a battery charger and make sure the battery is fully charged. Check your main fuse to make sure there is power there.

Start from there, good luck.

Hmmm, even your ignition switch is bad you would still have power when you turn the head lights on. But check on that and report back on the status. Let us know.

small update. i will go over everything again incase I missed something

after re installing the dash the ignition switch seemed a bit loose. I tried to finaggle it with no avail.

When fully counter-clockwise I advance it to the first click, I can hear a click from inside the dash, and a click from what sounds like its coming from the ABS. if i advance the key more into the part of the turn where the ingition would start to turn the engine over the power FC will kick on, and I can hear the fuel pump turn on, as well as various other clicks, clacks and whistles that usually begin when trying to start the car. however, if I advance the key further everything shuts off.

It seemed the ignition switch was the obvious problem. I bought a used one from a member here and it still seems as though the car is getting no power. im stumped... help?

check to see if your battery connections are tight.

just had a revelation. My dash wasnt fully bolted in, just resting in place. in case i forgot a plug i didnt have to go through and unbolt it all.

my mistake... if im correct anyways. the bolts on the driver side and passenger side are a must in order to start becuase the large wiring harness is grounded to the tubalar steel frame of the dash. although, why would 1 ignition switch somewhat power on the whole car, yet the new one do nothing?

old ingition switch will power on the car at a certain point in the turn

newer ignition switch does nothing.

update-

pulled the dash again. looked over all the wiring and everything looked fine. cleaned the grounding points where the dash harness is grounded and were it mounts inside the cabin. looked to make sure all my plugs were plugged in and tried again. still nothing. took my battery in to have it tested (didn't think it was my battery but had to rule it out) and they said it was 95% charged and perfectly fine.. any gurus out there have any idea what it may be? i found a bit of info about the ignition cutoff relay but nothing useful.

I can clearly hear a CLICK from the center of the dash and from somewhere out by the ABS.. im lost..

You don't by chance have an aftermarket alarm or remote start by chance? I have seen bad starter kill relays cause problems like this. Aftermarket keyless entry/alarm systems can cause all sorts of problems.
