water Injecton A Must Have.

I Started taking my car apart yesterday for the winter to go over the little things. When it came time to remove my intake i noticed my previously dirty greddy intake was super clean, Not a spec of grease or dirt. The inside of the elbow looks like its brand spanking new and now since all I see is the rough cast aluminum i am going to port and smooth the inside of the elbow. Point is i wanted to recommend Water Injection to those of you who don't have. It cleans and keeps the engine healthy as well.
Sorry for the pic quality, Its all phone pics.

water injector nozzle was installed after the Intercooler and before the greddy elbow. 500CC Injector @ 10psi

How the intake pipes used to look like.
..

This is How they look now..

Looks like you're injecting windshield wiper fluid

The main reason for injecting water/wwf is to keep hot spots to a minimum and preclude the chance of detonation. The cleaning effect is just a bonus

I'll go out on a limb and guess that the detergents in the windshield washer fluid help to clean the surfaces it comes in contact with...

My personal car that had stock twins, all bolt ons, PFC, twin power, etc dropped knock readings by about 30-40 when the water/meth would spray under boost compared to it disconnected. My rotors only showed a very thin layer of carbon on them when I tore the engine down. This was with a working OMP and premix.

Did you buy a kit or piece together everything?

The AEM kit on ebay for $360.00 is a nice kit. Easy install with control box and LED with troubleshooting codes if you have an issue. Comes with tank also.
