Car is in pieces! Starting to rebuild.

My 93 touring is in pieces. I am having the engine rebuilt: New rotor housong, aggressive street port, intake port, 3mm Apex seals.

Considering which turbo kit to buy: Greddy T-78 kit, GT35/40, or XS TO45 strip kit.

not sure which one to choose, how is it the greddy is capable of 430RWHP and the other two apparently are capable of 600-700hp.

I don't want to drag race, well not often anyway. Which turbo would spool up faster and anyone have preferences?

Fuel system: Fuel rail and larger fuel pump, 1300cc or 1600cc secondaries, not sure yet. Any advice?

Considering a custom built front mount intercooler. The guy working on the car says he can build one from an intercooler out of a Kenworth, I am sceptical but he says it would'nt be a problem. Anyone know any thing?

Fluidyne radiator is going in as well

I want a plug and go EMS, either FAC or HKS?

Also thinking of installing second oil cooler. Have spare ones from 86-88 rx7, can they be used in 93?

Sounds like you want the twin hitachi setup in dynamic sequenced mode. Yep almost 100% sure.

No I don't want to use the car for drag only,
I want it to be streetable. As you can probaly tell this is my first rx7 and I am trying to learn as much as I can. I want the power so if I take it to the track I can keep up. Plus I just Love speed and good handing and one day in the rx7 made me want more.

Going with a big single turbo usually falls under the top-end runs/I-wanna-go-REALLY-fast-in-a-straight-line category. Single turbo'd 7's can be streetable ... you just have to exercise throttle control ... however, making 600-700HP is usually NOT streetable. Have you ever driven an RX-7 with 300-400HP? They're pretty damn quick, and easy to put into a curb/pole/tree/wall.

And who's making 600-700HP with the GT35/40 upgraded twins? This is news to me ... or do I need to crawl out of this hole I keep digging for myself? Anyways, how aggressive is this streetport? I dunno about you, but I'm not too fond of cars that idle at 2000+ rpm. There's a lot of other things that need to be considered if you're trying to make a ton of horsepower.

I'm not trying to rag on you here; and I apologize if it sounds like I am. It just sounds like you haven't thought this out thoroughly. For my perspective, I think the GT35/40 would be a good starting point with a boost controller and reprogrammable ECU (ala PowerFC or a Haltech). Once you've figured out what 10, 12, 15, 18 psi do for you, then you might have a better picture of what the next step is.

Sorry but from what you wrote I couldn't figure out whether the post was a joke or not.

I think you should stay with the stock twins until you learn a little more about the car. Possibly go non-sequential but stay with the stock twins.

It was a joke, and I agree.
