Car isnt starting...

So I drove my car to my work and when I got ready to leave the car wouldnt start. All the electronics were working, but the car made no noise at all.

I ended up push starting the car, and it ran fine. I am not sure what it is, but I am almost convinced that it is the Clutch switch.

Like the last month I would have to almost push the clutch through the floor to even get the car to start, so I am thinking that it has to be that.

Anybody have any other or ideas or am I on the right track?

Clutch switch of course is an option but your starter soleniod could be bad also. Either one should be pretty easy to test.

I suck at electrical parts of cars...So I have no idea where I am even going to locate most of this stuff. I mean I can get into the right area, but after that I am lost.

If you want to takle it yourself I'd take the starter off first and have that tested as Advanced Auto Parts or some where of that sort. It is on the driver side of the tranny, looks like a coffee can. It might make it easier to take it off if you remove the tranny undertray. Take the skinny wire off the starter soleniod and unbolt the line to the battery with a 14mm wrench. After that there are 2 bolts(14mm), one on the bottom more towards the passenger side of the car, and one up top that is a long bolt that run through the starter, bell housing, and reat plate and has a nut on the otherside. It should just fall out and now take it somewhere to be tested.
