Car doesnt beep
When I open the door and either leave my lights on or leave the keys in the ignition, I dont get that annoying but helpful beep-beep sound. Also I noticed that my stock security system doesnt beep when it arms itself after the console light goes out, like it did in my old one. The security system seems very moody and tricky to arm as well. One last thing, when I lock the driver side door, it doesnt lock the passenger door... I thought it had a powered lock on the passenger side. If there is any idea of what to do or what to check, give me some idea. Thanks.

I'm a CF and poop smith
the passenger lock actuator is what you gotta test, try hotwiring it and see if i does anything.
I'm not sure what happened to your beep but I wish to got i knew how to do that to my car!
good luck

don't race, don't need to
Electrical problems? In an FD? Get out...
LOL. Check out the manual (see iluvmyRX7.com if you don't want to buy one) there's ALL KINDS of electical data there. Ultimately, I bet one of your cpu's (NOT the ECU, there are two others...) is toasted.

tookwik,
I had this problem. The security system is on the same curcuit as the "lights on" chiming bells/alarm (as well as a few other things). It almost cost me a dead battery when I left my parking lights on one day.
I don't know which curcuit that is, but what I did was remove the battery and make sure all the wires weren't kinked or anything. When I put everything back, the problem went away.
I would suggest checking the wires to the battery and to the fuse boxes for a start.
Good luck!

So, i just disconnect the battery and straighten out all the wires leading from it? That sounds too simple. I'll try it tomorrow. Thanks for the help. I had already started looking through the countless pages of manuals on iluvmyrx7.com
