Hi guys I was wondering if any of can help me figure out what's the problem with my car....I was getting on the freeway in third gear and I was holding it at 5k rpm and i held it there for about a min or two then driving home I was going 80 and took my exit and then stopped, started driving again few feet later car shut off and I put it in second and start it starts up but ones i step on the accelerater the car shuts off again. I pull over and start the car it run good. What could it be???

mods to car? year? were you able to drive it after you pulled over and "it run good"?

Could be bad gas, injector issue, fuel pump issue....need more info

 

Most likely I would guess a fuel system problem like mentioned above.

Read the FSM or search for guides on testing everything in the fuel system: Pump, injectors, relays, fuses. It could also be caused by a clogged fuel filter.

 

Hi I got my fuel filter and fuse replaced at around 3k miles ago. Its a 1993, mods, on car intake, catback, and downpipe. After I pulled over and stated the car up its ran fine and today on my way to school I reved it up but it runs fine for not......i used some injector cleaned about 2k miles ago.

 

I you 91 for gas thats the highest I can get here. And its was kinda cold out side if that help.
