Unhappy Car crapped out on me while i was driving.... whats up ??

Car was driving fine, my turbos have about 400 miles on them. Its been making .5 bars of boost consistantly always, very quick. All of a sudden on the highway I 230 compresser rolls by and wants to show off his slow toy, I'm thinkin "hah oh man this will be a joke" so I drop it into 3rd gear at about 65 miles an hour, usually I'd get put into my seat and get up to 100 in a matter of seconds..... I'm crawling to 80 mph, literally crawling, I'm looking at my boost gauge and it shows .3 bars psi consistant, what the heck happened? Did one of my turbos already give out on me???????

Thanks

more likely a hugh boost leak....notice any whistling or wushing noises? was it sputtering and backfiring, or just a mind numbing slowness that honda owners are used to?

you should check all the IC couplers and pipes. Make sure they are tight and with no leaks. If you can turn them, they are not tight enough.

there is no leaking sound of air anywhere, all my gaskets are metal. I have my ic piping bolted down tight, and the clamps are on very firmly. When I gas it, the car is very very quiet now, there is no sputtering, the car drives more like a N/A now, acceleration is very consistant, no real sense of boost anywhere on the rpms, it literally feels like a civic right now.

crappin out

I always got consistent 5-7 PSI and past the X-sition point (4500RPM) boost went to 0. This went on for weeks. It was a hose that had come off of one of the pipes about 3 inches towards drivers side from the two solenoids on the bracket on the Intake manifold. Behind the pressure chamber.

full non-seq? and the boost pattern when you get on it in 3rd gear, 3000 rpms (to redline)?

Just trying to see where its building boost, and when its dropping it.
If you redline 2nd gear, WOT, does it come on hard in 3rd gear or are you in the dead spot you've described with hardly no boost?

no boost.... i've taken it to red line in 2nd, 3rd and 4th and no change in boost...... and it runs very very quiet now.... i highly doubt its a hose, and i highly doubt my couplings are leaking boost, and even if they were, I would most likely hear it. I jacked the car up and ran it on idle to feel for any air leaking near the exaust manifold and by the DP and i dont feel any, it sounds solid... dunno wuts goin on, very strange...

IT HAS to be somthing to due with your non sequential change, and what you did with the solenoids are a vacuum leak somewhere. Were u only running it at .5 psi before? You should be running at least 10 psi, and thats like 7.3 ish. You only run 7 psi when you take the pills out too.....Somthing was done wrong when u changed to NS, or theres a vacuum leak, plain and simple. How many miles are on the turbo's? what are your mods?

turbos have 400 miles on them, the bolts on the exaust manifold loosen, can a substantial amount of boost leak out?

checked all the bolts, they are tight as f... undid and re did the couplings, they are good, hooked the solenoids back up to the connectors, checked the crv and pcv they r good, checked all nipples, fine... sitll very low boost,

dunno wuts up... its like they turned off, what would cause this??? can turbos just suddenly freeze up???

I pulled out this metal chain like crap, I'll post it once i have it uploaded, where in gods name did this thing come from???? and could this really have been the explination for why i was making so little boost????

Looks like packing (muffling) from your catback......that'll do it alright. My question for you is, why are you only running .5 bar (7 psi)?

Rich, its .7 bar, not .5 so he's around 10psi. How's the car feel after being gone for a while?

Yeah, that looks like the steel packing in your muffler. The question is how the hell did it come out?! What kind of muffler do you have?
