Car buying help!!!!!
How much is taking a potential car to buy to a mechanic recommened to a FD newbie? Im fairly knowledable in what i should be looking for but i lack the tools and confidence to do a compression test and other things also lacking exp in actual experience with these cars. Ive read alot in the buyers guide but im just not confident enough in my knowledge of the car. I looked at a car today ran really well. Has a rebuilt from SP engineering CA going for 10.5K but with a salvage title. It was a minor damage in the rear quarter panel and repainted. The paint is decent. Should i give a low ball offer expecting him to raise to where i like it? How much should i idealy get this car for? Thx!

Don't get a salvage title car....that's my advice.
Secondly, you should definitely pay to take a serious potential purchase to have a GOOD rotary shop look the car over, unless you can find some experienced local rotary guys to come check out the car for you.
