Car alarm and turbo timer

I may be getting in over my head here, but i want to know what you guys think.

I just purchased a clifford matrix rs3 alarm for my fd and have an apexi turbo timer to put in. (i got the timer free)

Am i gonna run into alot of problems trying to use both of them? cause if so F^$# the apexi

also, i have never installed a car alarm, Can anyone give me an idea what im up for? i am a VERY mechanically inclined person so a task like this dosent seem like too much for me. but I would like to hear from some other people who have done this. wiring diagrams would be helpful if anyone knows where they are (i cant find one)

edit: i bought the alarm not because im scared of somone stealing my car, I just want to be able to kill the next person that bumps it in a parking lot and trys to run. well that and keyless entry and remote start

You can get it working, depending on how much you want the timer... or the alarm for that matter. You'll have to setup relay(s) to break the alarm's shock sensor connection(s) when the timer's active. If that alarm interprets other related things as a trigger, like turbo timer keeping the ingnition "ON" active, you'll have to screw with that as well.

If you have a FSM, the diagrams are in the back. They'll help a lot. You'll have to tap in about a dozen (or two) connections.

The driver's side power doorloock is a bit more difficult to install than usual, since everything is run by actuation cables rather than solid rods. I had to cut up a custom sheet metal bracket to get it installed. Some argue for getting a JDM passenger solenoid/lock setup, since some have broken the cables. Running the cables for it isn't fun either.

This will help with the doorlock.

Credit for this trick install goes to NewbernD. I did the same thing and adjusted it so it wouldn't over-stress the plastic lock ****-flipper-type-thing. it hasn't broken off yet, unlike other installs that I've heard bad things about.

If you search some more, someone has listed the wire colors for all the usual stuff. I followed the FSM myself, but I found that list to be accurate.

The only real thing you will need is a good grasp of electronics. You have to figure out how to fool the alarm so it thinks the timer is "normal".

Yes, another option is getting a Alarm with a built in timer, but if you already purchased an alarm or timer and want to get it to work in harmony it won't be too hard. If you have any questions I suggest you PM Icemark, that guy knows he stuff when it comes to electronics.
