capping stuff and ac

2 Q's...

I have a dual Apexi Power Intake and I am running stock turbos non-sequentially. The intake has 2 hoses that go to the air pump and somewhere else that I don't have anymore. Currently they are taped shut with lots of tape. None of the auto store around here have vacuum caps that large to plug 'em up (~1" diameter). Anythoughts?

A/C. Mine doesn't work anymore. It worked, but the body shop must have evaporated some of it out and now it doesn't work (no, they won't fix/pay for it, they suck ... TRUE2FORM DON'T GO THERE!!!). Since it's R-12, should I just pay for a recharge or go with a 134 retrofit?

With your A/C you can pickup a retrofit kit at advance auto for like 30 bucks and it comes with everything you need to feel that cooooold a/c

Hmm. I'll have to take a trip to the Home Depot to look for the chair ends. Did you have to zip lock them or put a clamp to tighten them?

A/C retrofit kits have never been too successful with me/my friends. My friend's Corolla had a retrofit kit in it and it blew COLD air for ~1 week and took a crap on him.

Do the retrofit kits come with the proper gauges to make sure the system is evaporated? How much do shops charge to evaporate a system?

I get in enough trouble with my car, so I try to do stuff legit... especially since they passed a ordinance on how loud cars can be and my car excedes that by 2 million dB's around here.
