cant start

i turned off my car then when i went to turn it back on the power came on when i turned the key to on and as soon as i turned it to start the power was gone.

and nothing had power... no window, no lights, nothing... a few minutes later the power came back and when i tried to start again it was gone again...

so maybe its either the starter or the wires i think?

Sounds like a battery. Try to jump it with some cables and someone else's car.

if you get a multimeter(cheap one that does the job, u can get for like 20 bucks) and see how many volts the battery is holdin. it does sound like the battery though. we you just turn the key to the on postion before crankin it, more then likely everything in the car will work because the battery isnt that dead(YET!). but when you go to crank it and the starter it pullin all that juice from the batt, if its got a low charge its just gonna go dead. but test it with a multimeter, if you got less then 12volts, you defintely need to charge it, which you can easily do by jumping the car and letting it run for a few minutes so the alternator and charge it back up(thas the easy way to do it). a fully charged battery should be 12.6volts

Possibilities:

Loose battery cable
Battery is toast
Starter is toast

All fairly easy to test and/or correct! Good luck!!
