It's not uncommon for the wheel to get stuck to the wheel hub. The 5 lug nuts are all that hold it on - if it's stubborn, use a rubber mallet or something to tap the back side of the wheel to help pop it off.

It'll just take a little elbow grease, but it will come off.

just try kicking it from the sides, there might be some rust build up between the rotors and the rim that is getting it stuck to it...

ya..I've encountered the problem many a time..corrosion betwwen the alloy rims and the steel hub(rotor,what-ever)..I just laid on my back and gave the thing a hard stomp with my foot on one side then the other ..if that did not work..hit it (on the inner of the tire) with something BIG!..lightly coat witha little anti-sieze on the rim(where the wheel meets the hub) and you will be good for miles to come..

LOL

This happens to me all the time.

I just use a big pice of wood and slam it into the inside or back side of the wheel while slowly rotating it.

If I don't have a big piece of wood I'll use a small piece placed between the wheel and a swinging hammer.

My Aprentice teacher was telling me one time they had this older thunderbird, could not get the wheel off so they loosened the lugs just enough to give the rim some play went into the parking lot and started doing really really hard corning, siad it just poped off like nobodies buiness.

what he did was have about a 2 hair thickness space between the lugs and the wheel just enough for it to move yet it will still catch it when it comes loose, and you can drive around with only 2 lugs that are properly secured down, but hard driving put all on right and then have fun, so you don't screw up you undercarriage by having a wheel fall off, unless you drive the original Hummer, is was bananced with a Gyroscope so that any one wheel could be off at a time and drive like it had 4, corners and all, that was truely amazing what they did .

The wheels actually are kinda "stuck on purpose" because they are "hub-centric" wheels. It's actually a combination of wheel and rotor. So yes, it's normal and all you have to do is kick it one good time on the side of the tire and it should come loose.
