We need a little more info...
Does it boost at all? Does it want to stal? Can it go smoothly through the RPM range..?? Sounds to me like your MAP sensor is unhooked.. Check that and get back to us with some more info..

it has a great idle

If you throttle up very slowly,it will take thrittle to about 3800 rpm,,,,but past about the 20% point of throttle it falls on its face and pops through the exhaust,,,seems to be waaaayyyyy rich at idle and the pre-cat is getting hot when i play with the throttle indicative of a lean condition,,,,the turbos both seem to spool up fine!!
