Can you polish Pettit coolcharge II Intercooler!

Just wondering if you can polish the Pettit Coolcharge II IC pipes and Core. I know the core is already polished but mine is pretty old and looking ruff on top. If anyone knows please let me know and what to use to do this. Thanks, Mike

Yes...look in your local yellow pages for someone to polish it for you. Normally you'll find them listed under CHROME PLATING. Hope that helps.

cheers

Hey mike if the pipes are already smooth you can just polish it chemically with just some alum polish. I've got some thats real good if you want to use it when you come down. I use it on my IC and pipes.

get some sand paper, start with low grit and work your way up to like 400-600, then get some a polishing wheel and some rouge and some beer.......this is like a 10 beer job, just the sanding alone.......be careful around the welds......

Actually I have 2 large Harley dealers close by that my father in law has bought 3 new $25K bikes from and they wont polish anything that isnt Harley

As a matter of fact this isnt polish but its related, I know a guy with a heavily moded street bike and they wouldnt let him use the dyno. They work on harleys ONLY, no matter what kind of work it is if its no Harley its not going to be in thier shop.

My Fater inlaw says its cause most Harley owners are so die hard Harley that they wouldnt like going into thier local dealship and seeing other bikes in there. I guess that would be kinda like the RX7 store start selling Honda parts. Its also kinda the way I felt when M2performance started selling WRX stuff. Its not so much that I dont want them to make any money but I know that more of thier time and development is being used on a WRX now....and not to make better parts for a FD.

Anyway, that was much to long but I was just rambling on about it lol

No, I have no problem doing it myself. **** it may take me several days working a little at a time but when it gets done I know it will be right. Anybody can pay to have somthing done!

Next, I will be doing the intake.

Anybody have an idea how I can make a pipe to fit from a pettit II to a greddy elbow? Or were I can buy one.
