I'm fairly close to stock, so the only time my rear steps out is the 1-2 gear shift. Although, I can certainly squeal the tires downshifting into 3rd at about 70.

But breaking your tires loose at 20 mph in 2nd gear? I don't think that's possible with an FD.

no I don't want to loose my rear.tire=money.
I just want to know because I can't.

and It doesn't have to be 20mph I mean from low speed you floor it and of course you build your boost and 3000rpm 5000rpm 7000 rpm I never hear squeel.

sorry for miss typing on the title.

with 265's in the rear, I would hope they wouldn't break loose if you're close to stock. I've got stock 225's all around and they will break loose if I hold the pedal down and wait for the second turbo to kick in. Depends on the surface though. My mods are listed and aren't much over stock, but if I want to shake the traction, I can get it done with my clutch in every shift up to 3-4, although its just a wheel hop at that speed.

My AUTO will sometimes(or would before the APEX seal broke) break the tires (225-50 P7000) loose on the 1/2 upshift & wot. In the Rain it will spin them in 3rd @ 1/2 throttle

breaking your tires loose is more or a tire problem than a power problem. I can break any car loose in 2nd with some **** Walmart tires.

Very, very true (Kumho 712s anyone!).

BTW, Tookwik, I'd like to know how the hell you can break your tires loose at 2200 rpm in 2nd gear. Even if you are heavily modded and running 15 psi, you make so little boost at 2200 rpm, I don't see how it's possible. If you are talking about you loose grip as the turbos spool up (2800+ rpm), I would certainly believe you.

If the air is chilly outside I can break the rears loose in second around 6000rpm. Otherwise, nope.
