you know, those big, black, looks like something that's made from some indestructible plastic crate to ship the engines around.

I might have to ship an engine overseas that I build by myself (to my car overseas) , just wondering .

oh also, can I still get new engine from Mazda ? i searched and the thread said new engines should be NLA. cuz if they still have new engines I just gonna get one and ship that over, saves me some time and trouble.

I think Ray @ Malloy Mazda can sell you one of the crates. Call and ask?

Mazda has "sold out" of new 13B motors. You can buy a "reman" still, but it's more expensive if you don't have a core to send in. You can ask Ray about this as well.

I drove down to Malloy and picked up the last new motor from Ray at the end of the summer.

From what Ray told me then, the remans should actually be very close to the "new" engines. If I remember correctly, the price for a brand new one was $3,800, where as the reman cost $2,800. Both came with a $1,000 core charge.

Sorry for the minor tangent, just wanted to help clarify a bit on the different pricing.

Reman is fine, I can always get it, open it, rebuild it *just to make sure nothing was wrong*. put it back to ship it out.

or maybe I should try and ask MMS and see if they can help.

Thx guys !
