can you alter the compression ratio on a rotary?

just thinking?can only see it being done by having a custom rotor made up with a concave portion in it,but surely this would help big boost cars with cooling?if you already do this i apologise,but if you dont,why?just wondering as its common practise on piston engines with turbos,mine has been.
