Question Can a turbo 2 motor fit a 3rd gen?

just wanted to know if it has been done before?? i have a turbo 2 motor and i was wondering if i could stuff it into a 3rd gen shell???

the problem is that the 2nd gen motors have the engine mounts on the middle iron and the 3rd gen motors have it on the rear iron. and all the electrical connectors etc are different.

It really makes no sense to go backward. The amount of time & money you would spend in custom fabrication and electronics manipulation just to have less HP. Sell the TII engine and buy an FD engine or have yours rebuilt if the car has one.

I've seen a full LS1 drivetrain in a EK Civic hatchback.

Anything can be done...... anything.

Is it worth it? Of course not. As Banzai said, the engine actually fitting in is one problem, and the wiring harness is a whole other problem. Keep it REW, you will thank yourself.

I don't think it would be to hard. I also think it's a bad idea. You can install a stand alone which makes the electronics part cake. You could also have a capable fabricator make engine mounts. On the other hand why? The FD engine is better than the T2 engine.
