Can stock bov sound tell you anything?
Just wondering. We have the stock valves vented to the atmosphere for a few days while we work on stuff. The sound is pretty neat, but I'm wondering if it can tell us anything about the turbos etc.?
Since we can now hear the air flow from the bov, if we pay attention to the rpm s, can it give us any clues as to how the turbos are working?
Might be nothing, but just wondering if anyone has had any learning from this?
thanks,

Well, it can tell you that there's air in the tract between your turbos and your throttle body.
All a blow off valve does is release the compressed air in that tract when you let off the gas and the throttle plates close. This prevents the air from moving back towards your compressor wheels, which would slow them down. Kinda like pissing in the wind .
In short, not really
