Question Can someone give me an opinion on my boost creep problem?

Okay, here's the scenario.....

I have a M2 ECU that ran boost to 13-13-13.......

Insatlled a lot of parts and now the pattern is 12-10-12(because of FMIC pressure loss)......

Well, I just installed a Pettit resonated MP and my pattern is 12-10-15(but it's also 45 degrees outside).......

Is a spike really all that bad? I know only an A/F guage will tell the truth, but is a spike 100% bad?
Since it only spikes on the secondary turbo, and if A/F delivery turns out decent can I use ocatne booster or racing gas to fend off detonation?

What A/F guage works? Some people say cheapies like AutoMeter don't work properly.......

I almost hate to get rid of the spike, I love the way it throws me back in my seat, I was just wondering if theres a safe way I can keep it.....

Cool

You're boosting 15?! I like the kicks to, but make sure that you're watching your fuel mixture, otherwise YES, boost spikes are especially if you're going over 12lbs of boost. after 12lbs of boost your really need to make sure that your computer is tuned properly for the power that you're trying to get out of your thoroughbread. When u have as much parts as you say you have, TUNING is most important, unless you don't mind rebuilding another motor. That's my opinion.

see ya,

You cannot tune accurately with the stock o2 sensor. You will need a wideband o2 sensor. Even with the best A/F monitor and the stock o2 sensor you are asking for trouble. [That is why I am building my own wideband o2 sensor/monitor.]

The spiking and creep you have is a recipie for trouble.

really need to enlarge the wastegate...
You can also try changing the pill size in the lines...
(dont know what size though)

15 is really bad on stock Fuel system.. and use oem o2 sensor is crap.. you need to go wide lambda to get correct values..

So it's, hopeless for me to keep my MP?

How much is it to enlarge the wastegate? Is it a DIY?

Could I just get a high flo fuel pump?

And "pills", what exactly are they and where are they.......how do I change them and what size should I try?

I ported my own wastegate...you get to know a lot about the passenger side of your car. Porting is easy with a grinder, but getting everything out was a pain in the butt because lots of my stuff was rusted solid. Getting everything back in is even harder, as I'm still working on that a week later. Should be finished today though, assuming i can get my hands into the small spaces they need to go.

Pressurized: You can keep you MP but you have to do one of 2 things. Port the wastegate, or reduce your exhaust flow (hi flow cat, more restrictive catback, plates).

Enlarge the wastegate as large as possible, but still allowing the flapper door to seal it. A hi flow fuel pump alone will not help. The problem with creep is that you will not be compensating for the increased air flow. I guess in theory you could tune your car for the creep, and inject more fuel with changes to the fuel map, and larger injectors, but the stock set up (fuel) will not be sufficient.

Porting is the easy part, getting the turbos off is the hard part. I have only done it with the engine out, so I don't know how hard it is to take them out with the engine in.
