Nope, stock (even Remapped ecu) won't handle bigger injectors. Power FC or Haltech time.

you could run em. you will just run really rich, and you will have no way of actually controlling the injectors. the injectors will be injecting as much fuel as they can, but the ECU wont notice it.

I had the Pettit unlimited ecu before the PFC and when I ordered it I clearly asked if I could run bigger secondary injectors with it and I was told yes, but when I called back after I had purchased my 1300cc secondaries they said "NO, it won't work!" I was kinda disappointed, but I'm used to it by now. I would advise against installing the bigger injectors with your ecu. I don't think you would damage anything, but I would imagine that it would run like crap!

oh. but what is the reasoning behind why it wont work? i dont think anything else besides running a little rich would occur.

i dunno.

Want2race, I feel your pain man. The same crap happened to me so I know what it's like to be lied to. I would have never believed that I could run a single turbo with it, but I did believe that I could run bigger injectors since that isn't too hard to program a computer to do. Different maps, duty cycles, etc. , but it doesn't work. I was really pissed when I found out that I had been lied to and asked for some explanation of why it wouldn't work. The only thing they said was that they couldn't adjust the pulse timing of the injectors on the stock computer. I'm not 100% sure, but it sounds like a bunch of crap to me. Either way I was forced to get rid of it. You were lied to by a dishonest person, but I was lied to by a dishonest "company". I don't want to bad-mouth Pettit though, since I think they sell excellent stuff. They should just get their facts straight sometimes.

so i guess the only downside to having larger injectors and a remapped ECU is just running really really really rich??

I had the 1200 secondaries installed in my car using a Pettit Unlimited ECU and what I did was go to a dyno and tune it with an APEXi S-AFC, I tuned it down little by little until it was right, it worked fine at WOT, but I never got the chance to drive the car around because I went Power FC 2 days later, so I can't speak on the driveablility on this setup, but I know at WOT it works perfect. Just my 2 cents.

yeah, running a Pettit ECU with a piggyback fuel controller is one option. but thats kinda stupid, imo, cause a PFC is only a couple hundred bucks more than that combo. you still need dyno tuning and everything, so whats the point??

JoeD...stop it...running really really rich is a bad as running lean.. I have personally seen the results of running really rich...and it is not pretty...

I repeat do not run 1200CC injectors with out a haltech,wolf,PFC,motec...etc you get the idea.
