Can I use miata fuel fliter for my fd?
The time has come to replace my fuel filter.
Can I use miata fuel filter or I have problems?
The only difference in the body of miata filter is one pipe little differend.
And also cost the half price from fd oem filter.
Have anyone use miata filter on fd?

sorry, my bad. the fuel filter isnt but a few dollars at a local parts house? why not get the one meant for it? I always think thats the best bet unless the OEM is deficient in some way.

The filter should be about $20-30. I typically use Purolator fuel filters - I haven't had any problems.
I want to say someone used the Miata filter in the past. But, I'd be worried that it may not flow as much as the FD fuel filter. Since the FD filter isn't that expensive to start with, I'd just go ahead and replace it with the right part.

Agreed. I don't think a Miata burns as much gas as our cars do, so the filter may not flow as well, or as much. But who knows without testing them. Just use the right one.
