can i run a race port with out upgraded fule management/ecu?

i am thinking about buying a FD with a rotary power race ported engine. i was wondering if i could run the car hard without an upgraded ECU? my only mod would be the race port and a DP. i dont have any money to buy a PFC but i would have some money left over to buy a boost controller.

I'm pretty sure this engine would blow without any kind of fuel management.

I would give Rotary Power a call for their opinions, since they're the ones who did the port.

I would think the stock ecu would probably still provide enough fuel for a large port at 10 psi, but I think the timing may be too advanced up top to be safe.

If you can't afford a PFC, you can't afford a new engine either.....

the engine is gonna be unstable at stock boost levels...nevermind a lil more boost...if u cant afford to buy a pfc u wont be able to replace motors...stick with a stock one and do mods when u have time and in the right order..it will be cheaper in the end as the life of the stock ecu race port isnt gonna be too long
