Question Can I retro fit my air pump

I was just wondering I need to replace my air pump (emissions), Mazda is charging $1500.00, I can get a FC air pump for cheaper. Just wondering if it will do its job. I don't see why not, let me know if otherwise.

You can pick up used FD air pumps all the time in the classifieds forum. It won't hurt your car to run with a bad one for a short time.

my mechanic sold his for $60 ,others have gone for less ,others more . If yours needs bearings just replace them, if the vanes are bad you can make new ones .
