Question can I mount an aftermarket FPR sideways?

I'm looking to mount up an afternarket FPR ( adjustable rising rate with gauge ) .
The problem is where I want to ideally mount it the fuel return line ( goes out from the bottom of the FPR ) gets in the of way a whole bunch of stuff.

So I have found that if I turn the FPR 90 degress sideways ( on its side) the fuel return line now comes out the side and is clear of any other stuff.

Can I do this without any adverase affects on the FPR function? The only problem I can see is the gauge will now sit on its side.

btw - its is still adjustable in this position

The FPR could care less. As long as everything clears. But im sure someone can help explain a better way to install.

Mount it anyway you want. I plan on having mine mounted directly to the end of the rail saving some fittings and some space when I rip everything out again and do the fuel system over again.
