can I have a quiet-ish exhaust with blast pipes look?

I know if you search, anyone asking about 'the quietest exhaust' always gets told to stay stock or go racing beat.

I really love the look of the reinhard dual blast pipes. But I know they would be way too noisy. I don't need to get my car keyed.

Is it possible to have the best of both worlds? I'm imagining a series of inline mufflers or resonators like this kakimoto muffler, which i actually own. Its not too noisy, but the regular fart can style isn't quite what I want.

has anyone ever done this?

Yes you can easily have a quiet-ish FD with blast pipes, I would say you will need a catalytic converter and a flow master muffler placed somewhere on the catback away from the exit of the catback.

Agreed. It's really just a case of working the mufflers into the overall system, with the 'finishers' being the outlet pipes.
Not sure on the effect of hp loss or anything like that, but it should be minimal if done correctly.

Try to find a St May dual shotgun exhaust and weld in a couple Magnaflow mufflers in the mid section. Will look great and be reasonably quiet.

Buy a Racing beat exhaust and weld on the blaster tips that you like. Any muffler shop can do that for you.

Are there any repercussions to having 2 resonators welded right after another?

Get a one in two out muffler and tack on a pair of whatever size fart cans you find aesthetically pleasing.
Im running SMB resonator and SMB 1x3"in 2x2.5" out rear muffler, no cat 3.5 down pipe in to 3" everything else and it is very quiet for a straight through exhaust.

Is a straight-through 3" muffler section really going to have any more back pressure than a 3" plain piece of pipe?

I've owned the blast pipes pictured

1. they include baffles that are insert-able, and silencers to insert on top of that, as a second layer of sound deadening, which ends up being pretty damn quiet

2. use a resonated midpipe or a cat

As far as getting those blast pipes, you need to contact the Reinhard directly in japan and try to find a way to buy it direct.

The guy who was supplying them in USA has screwed many of my friends. Be careful.
