Can I grind off this waterpump housing airpump ear?

I'm anticipating trouble clocking the turbo/charge piping the way I want it because this ear and the filler neck will get in the way.

Can I cut this ear off without any issues? It doesn't outwardly appear to have any significance to the structural integrity of the housing.

I haven't personally done it, but have seen it done on many others. I think pretty common for you single turbo guys.

You've got way too many intake runners too. I think you can probably cut a couple of those off...if you want.

If you take the filler neck off you can see up in there and feel around to see how far you can cut then grind down.

you can chop them off, any part that looks like it's just to support the bracket is just that, I cut mine a while ago, bugged me how it looked..
