My mechanic removes thet whole casting that the pipe is on. He makes a block off plate that the three solenoids screw in to so the computor will read them, it also has a place for the turbo control solenoil. the one off his car is power coated silver, and he is not putting it back. Does that give you an idea ?

yes you can, if you have an aftermarket ECU

If you removed your airpump, then you might as well eliminate the ACV as well. It serves no purpose without the airpump.

I have had the airpump and acv removed w/ bo plates and nothing...but when I did the conversion, I used a pettit unlimited 5speed ecu and suddenly I have the three ominous acv cel codes....QUESTION IS:

Will this put the car in "limp" (dick) mode?

thanks

the cel codes are:

port air bypass

split air bypass

solenoid valve relief

Damn what gives? Do I have to install the acv just for the connectors (stuff it in there not bolt on)? Guess I could just install resistors eh?

Wierd. What year is the ECU?

I imagine 1/2 Watt, 330 Ohm resistors will do the trick.

Do not know the year...since I bought it from rbrtech. Would the year make a difference (like a 94) pettit checked the ecu and certified it (with stickers) so ecu is good to go. Is the error fatal (limp mode)? So that means I have to add resistors to the ecv connectors and egr?

cover8,
'94's and california '93's will throw a CEL if the EGR is unplugged, but it won't initiate limp mode. Does the FSM give the possible conditions that cause limp mode?

JAMMNN,
You should be fine with a Power FC.

You need to put the previously mentioned resistors in the three empty plug sockets for the ACV if using a stock or chipped ECU. No resistors needed for PowerFC.
