Can I add apex seals to an already perfect engine?

Okay, so if you rebuild I know you add a ton of sh*t like new apex seals, port, etc....

But what about protecting your already perfect engine? Do people add apex seals to an engine just for protection or just wait til you blow the ****?

You could, but it would cost a similar amount as a rebuild, depending on how much needs replacing if you decide to blow the engine first. I suggest doing the latter.. have fun with the stock seals, and when they finally go, put in the new ones. You'd be surprised how long they'll last. If you want to prolong the life of your engine right now, you could always do the ATF trick and clean all the sludge off your apex seals
