Yes, but the real question is: Is that 15-20 degrees difference in intake temp any different AFTER the turbo?

In most people's experiments (including some stated in this thread), it made absolutely no difference in performance. However, providing more air (by some of the modifications to the stock air box) has shown increases which is similar to what an open intake would give since it wouldn't have the restriction of "the box".

This whole cold air hot air intake debate has gotten old. The power difference is marginal and would only be significant to someone who cares between the difference between a few hp. It hardly matters for the regular joe blow who is buying the first modification for the car. I'm sure the impact on performance increases as more modifications are applied.
